Awazon Market FAQ
What is Awazon Market?
A darknet marketplace that runs inside the Tor network, with a storefront modeled on a mainstream online shop. It has no clearnet address. You reach it through a .onion address in the Tor Browser, and this site lists the current mirrors and explains how the market works.
How do I access it?
Install the Tor Browser, set the security slider to Safer, copy one of the three current mirrors from the mirror page, and paste it into the address bar. A standard browser cannot open an onion address.
Is there an official URL?
There is no single permanent address. The market rotates a small set of mirrors, so the safe habit is to copy a current one from this site rather than typing a fifty six character string from memory.
Is it safe?
The escrow is a real two of three multisig, the operator signs announcements with a PGP key, and the mirrors rotate with a signed announcement. Your own habits matter as much. Use the Tor Browser at Safer and only reach the storefront through a copied, verified address.
What payments does it accept?
Bitcoin and Monero. Bitcoin is the easier coin to source but leaves a public trail. Monero hides amounts and parties. Both fund the same escrow at checkout.
What if a mirror is down?
Switch to the next address in the list. Every mirror leads to the same account, balance and order history, so a slow entry point never locks you out. Trying another mirror also builds a fresh circuit, which often clears a stuck connection.
Do I need an account to browse?
You can view the catalog and read vendor profiles after registering. An account is required the moment you add something to a cart or start a purchase. Registration has no email recovery, only the mnemonic seed, so write that down.
What does the access queue mean?
It is not a failure. It is traffic control that appears when many users hit a mirror at once. Leave the tab open and wait. Refreshing resets your place in line, which is the mistake that makes a slow open slower.
Can I recover a lost account?
Only with the mnemonic seed. If you have the seed, you can restore the account. If you have lost both the passphrase and the seed, the account is unrecoverable, because the market has no support channel that overrides the cryptography.
Where do I get help?
Through the in market ticket system and the operator thread on the Dread forum. There is no email address and no phone number. Response times depend on the queue, so include the full address, the date, and the exact error in any report.
